The very cold pumpkin patch

This weekend we braved the pumpkin patch. This would be one of my all time favorite things to do in the Fall. The only bummer thing was that we had no idea it would be just a tad above freezing and that the little hats and jackets my kids had on were not really sufficient for the warmth that was needed.

Normally I look forward to the part where we all get to pile in the trailer and have a fabulous hay ride to the pumpkin patch, but we were begging the Lord that Little Girl wouldn't see the ride circling back by us and ask for a ride. Way. Too. Cold. For That.

We succeeded in diverting her attention. Yay!

I think her and Baby Boy's favorite thing to do that day was to watch and feed the chickens their corn. They were both giddy about the whole thing. It was cute.

Baby Boy had a horrible round of illness, teeth coming in, i-phones landing on his head, toys wacking him in the head and the like all last week and thankfully last Saturday when we went to the farm - he was on the mend and seemed to be in good spirits for the adventure. What a trooper. He had actually lost weight that whole week he was sick and I hated seeing him thin out so much. His appetite is in full swing again and he actually pounded a whole hot dog and bun at our buddy Greyson's birthday party last weekend. Dude!!!

Here are some pics of my cuties. Happy Fall everyone!

Love the pix! So CUTE! We still haven't made it to a pumpkin patch so hopefully we'll make it this weekend, and may the weather be in the 60s! Hope you're having a good week! So glad BB is better!
