I won! I won!

I am getting the house all ready today to leave it for the weekend. I made some of my chicken salsa and black bean soup for my parents to eat on while they are here. I am cleaning the house ferociously and I am making sure that there is food here for the children and that I have all the little things that I need for our trip.

I am SO excited to go see some dear old friends while we are in Dallas and I am really excited about all the other things that go along with just hanging out, browsing in stores and eating in restaurants that don't require me to cut up anyone's food! I will miss my dear ones of course, but my parents will be here and the spoiling will be very sufficient for them. They may not care that we have even left! :-)

On another super fun note:

I was doing some random blog checking this morning before I got all of the above tasks tackled with my morning coffee and I landed on a newer blog I have been following called The Buzzings of a Queen Bee. And guess what people?

I won her giveaway! I never win stuff and I couldn't believe it when I saw my little name on there. It was a giveaway for these adorable and sweet hats that Little Girl will look quite stylish in. I will be excited to get that in and share some pictures with you on here of the cuteness. (OH - and a side note is that my sister is sending me a camera to borrow until I get a new one, so pictures should soon commence).

The blogger where I won the giveaway has some really great stuff on her site in regards to decorating and making something awesome out of all sorts of things, including goodwill items. You should go check her out here.. I was inspired by her and hit our local store up yesterday. I didn't find anything I just HAD to have, but plan to make it more of a routine to go over there and browse to see if there are some cheap things that can make my home more.....homey. :-)
