Life is Black and White.......and a little GREY!

This is how the moment went.

We are having a nice dinner at my in-laws house just enjoying the time together and Little girl enjoying all things about being at Grandma and Pa Pa's house and "her family" as she so affectionately calls us all. We love it when she proudly declares on any given random day "Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Pa Pa, Aunt Jennifer - You are all my fami-wee!!"

Yes we are little girl. Yes we are.

So, Little girl was making her way through the toy wonderland that is at Grandma's and I decide to take a journey into the restroom.

How much description do you think I am going to give you here? Puh-leeze!

Well, I am looking at all my red and golden highlights that my girl at the salon did such a great job on, and I see something very peculiar. I have often wondered when this day would come, because it has not stricken my older brother or sister as of yet, and my mom and Grandma were a little late in this department as well.

I am unsure of what I see because of all the blonde highlights. These light hairs that are more bleached out than anything, can just plain be a little deceiving.

I part my hair just so.

I get my finger in place at just the right spot where the perpetrator is standing, and I go into the living room.

I first go to my mother-in-law to confirm what I thought I saw in there.

Then, just to be safe, I go to my sweet husband and say - "Honey - is this a grey hair?"

His reply was, "You mean that big long, grey, wirey-curly hair? Yeah. I think so."

I think it was a fluke. I haven't seen it again or since and I am wondering if it was just the ghost of Christmas Future telling me that I will be old one day. One day when I have 3 or 4 children running around my feet and I haven't seen a Target or a hair salon in 8 months.

This is my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Here's the evidence of what we found -

Can you see it?

How 'bout here? Can you see it?

I'd be more concerned about the bald spot! Tee Hee!

I vote that it's a blonde highlight! But if it makes you feel any better... I have a grey hair that insists on popping up in my eyebrow of all places! Maybe I will start coloring those as well....

I think moving and leaving your friends, who you NEED so much, is causing you too much STRESS....you'd better stay here or your whole head may turn grey!

Don't worry Kara, I've had them for a few years now and I feel (and look...ha,ha) young as ever :)

Just get it over with and pull it out. I started getting them at 23! I don't have a lot - maybe that's because I pull them out everytime I see one. I know they say you grow two more back if you do that, but so much the better - I'd love thicker hair and I can just dye it. ;)
