A really intriguing title - I know.
Hey.
It's late and I'm pushing it for full sanity here.
My brain is in more of a "list" mood, so I shall give you the latest that is going on in our household in a full-blown list format.
- Birthmom has not gone into labor yet. We are sitting by our cell phones constantly - and expecting that at any minute we could be hopping in our cars and driving to go meet our son.
- Home study went well last night. Very uneventful. Social worker was nice. I think we impressed her with our mad cleaning skills.
- Ran out of Starbucks yesterday here at the house. Still haven't gotten any more yet. In a very foul mood because of this.
- Went to Target today and bought Michael some new clothes. My favorite thing I bought him were these vintage navy plaid pants and a little grey cardigan sweater. It's so adorable! I also bought him some newborn camo shoes. Couldn't resist.
- Went to Outback with some of our new friends tonight. Had a blast. Am deciding that these are going to be "lifers" in the friend department. Love you guys already!
- Pumps stink (if you get my emails - you know what I mean here)
- Girl from church is coming to watch Little Girl tomorrow night FOR FREE to give us a night out before baby Michael arrives. Can't wait for that!
- Doing a "voice-over" tomorrow with David like I used to do at JRA. Better get my radio voice tuned up again!
- Listening to Daddy read books to Little Girl in our bed right now. Little girl giggles are emerging with every page. Love that sound!
- Discovered a new love this week. Trader Joe's (one of the greatest organic stores of all time!) has these dark chocolate bars that are individually wrapped with 6 to a box and only 100 calories. They are a little treat, but the chocolate indulgence goes a long way in my book.
- Got Little Girl and Michael's matching Big Sister/Little Brother shirt and onesie in the mail today. They are adorable.
- Our house hasn't had a lot done on it this week because the cabinets are coming in late. They will be in on Friday and then the house should get cranking again. I shared my adoption sob story with them about how we need to get out of this apartment with 2 little kids in the picture hoping they would kick it in to gear. Hope it worked. :-)
- Missing my friends Julie and Shannon right now. I wish they lived only minutes away to be sharing all this good stuff with!
Nighty-Night.

I miss you too! I love it when I am in a blog.......but that means I have to comment, which I haven't been so good at lately (hey, I was on a cruise and I do love you, but your blogs aren't worth $2 a minute, which is what I would have had to pay for internet in the middle of the ocean).....now I feel bad saying that because I do love reading your blogs, they're definitely worth at least 25 cents a minute! :-)
I'm glad your social worker was nice........social workers are nice, aren't they? :-) Was she as nice as your last social worker?
I definitely agree with you......pumps do stink.....breast feeding is not all it's cracked up to be......ouch, speaking of cracks, I am having traumatic memories of almost passing out because of the pain....I hope it goes better for you than it did for me........I'm sure it will (I thought I should say SOMETHING encouraging in this long response)!
I am glad for all the good updates. You will have to give me some inside info on homestudys. If our application gets approved that will be our next step. It has me a little stressed. I am still praying for you.
I always read your blog. Sometimes I read several at a time because it takes me a while to catch up. Even though I see you at church and sometimes outside of church, I love hearing about your life. :) I wish I was as disciplined as you to actually sit down and do something like this. Love ya!
Jovanna - I love it that you read my blog! Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. I'm so glad we are going to be neighbors soon and that our boys will have each other on the block! :-)
Ok I must have been out of the blog loop for longer than I thought. I had to catch up 3 of your blogs! Glad to hear all is moving along. You are sounding much more at peace there in your new home. Julie and I are coming up with some great ideas for your shower! It's going to be marvelous!
Kara, I'm sorry I have been so terrible at responding to all of your heartfelt emails. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Glad the homestudy went well, and glad the construction crew is feeling a bit of pressure.
I heart Trader Joe's. Try their triple ginger cookies...yum!!!
