Ummm....no....that's not how it works

Little Girl is happily eating her morning breakfast that today - consists of an organic cereal bar, a bunch of grapes and a strawberry yogurt.

I've been explaining to LG that she has to be really careful when she is eating that she doesn't drop any food on the floor because her brother is mobile now and could snatch something up.

I am particularly paranoid this morning to leave the room because of the grapes and the fact that she has dropped one every 5 seconds.

BB is on a fast track looking like he is doing the "worm" all the way from the living room to the kitchen to get it.

I told her to hurry, hurry, hurry and go pick it up because if BB got it he would put it in his mouth and choke and that would be really bad.

She thought for a second and then said in a sing-songy voice "then we'd have to get a new baby!"

Ummm..NO.

I had to explain the whole "irreplaceable kid thing and the fact that there is no one else like them and I only want them and they are the best and the greatest and how wonderful they are and precious and NO we don't just go pick out new ones if one of you chokes on a grape."

It's only 8:28 a.m. at my house.

It's gonna be a fun one.
