Random pics of the kids in their Birthday shirts I ordered off of Etsy. Aren't they fun! They are Toy Story fanatics right now!

We have 4 school days under our belt now.
Setting an alarm is my new normal.
Yawning throughout the day is my new normal.
Watching LG yawn all afternoon after she gets home is, again, my new normal.
It's been so fun watching her love this new experience and season of life. She has listed the following things as some of her "favorites" from the start of this school year.
P.E. - She says they just get to "run around" and she loves that.
She has been chanting some song over and over and over that goes something like ".....da da da da......pig snout......your OUT!" I have no idea as you can tell, but it's cute and I giggle when I hear her singing it at the top of her lungs in the bathroom.
Rest time. They lay on their mats and listen to stories. Yesterday they listened to Adventures in Odyssey. Love!!
She was good during rest time one day and got to be the "wake up girl". She tapped each child with a wand to wake them up to go to ART. She was in her element. :-)
The monkey bars outside.
A sweet little boy in her class that helped her up when she fell of said monkey bars and walked with her to her teacher.
LIBRARY day!
ART class!!
Hot lunch days (I am letting her pick one day each week).
Chocolate milk options. :-)
And the ONE negative thing she mentioned last week was that, "There are NO toys! Just the Teacher and some books in her room." Ha!
I am thrilled with listening to her stories. I can't wait to pick her up in the afternoon. I really miss her after such a long day. My personal favorite about her school is that they take a letter of the alphabet and learn a memory verse that starts with that letter each week. Today we are learning letter A "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23".
Now if that doesn't make me at peace about her care and teaching every day - I don't know what will!!
On a side note - my sister-in-law Jenn is here this week with her hubby. They are in town from California. She was sporting this super cute top and I told her I MUST have it. She said it was a Target find, but I found they didn't have them in the lovely state of Missouri. I ordered myself one today, along with a few other items so that I could get FREE shipping. Then - if I don't love some of the other things - I can just return them.
How cute is this shirt?

I paid $10.24 for my new tank after some random discount they gave me online. SCORE!!
I am in great need of new digs, so I have been gathering a few pieces here and there to make me feel slightly above a "bum-like" status. Ha!
Did I mention I am finding holes in some of my most favorite capri pants that I have had for 5 or more years? That's how you know a clothing item has been loved. :-)
I hope your week is great. I believe I am ready to get back on a consistent posting schedule. If you are ready for it - give me a shout out!
Have a great day!

I just loved hearing about Makenna's great Kindergarten experience! I'm so glad she is enjoying it and That you found such a wonderful school for her. What a special time in your lives.
I had to laugh about PE being her favorite because they just "run around" because last year in preschool, Anna actually called her PE class "run around" class for like the first 2 months!! Fun girls! BTW- Anna loved playing with her at the zoo and bouncy house the other day. :)
PS - sorry I just realized I am logged in under my other blog that I have with my sister in law--- so this is Amber. :)
