Well, we did it.
We made it through the first day of school....no tears!
From any of us.
Score!!
I was up by 6:00 this morning, then Little girl was up by 6:30. We started out the day with breakfast, cuddles, prayers, flat-ironing of LG's hair,piggy-tails by request and lots and lots of pictures.

It was surreal getting her ready to head out for her 7-hour long day. I didn't feel stressed though, and I love the fact that the Lord has given us so much peace over these past few months. She was so ready to go and so excited.
In fact, the night before, I peeked into her room around 9:00 and saw that she was still awake. I asked her why she wasn't asleep yet, and she answered, "I've been trying, but I can't stop thinking about school supplies!" "And I'm so excited!!". It was super cute. I didn't blame her. I remember tossing and turning in great anticipation of the day ahead and not being able to relax my brain.

She loved it! They had 3 recesses today, which she thought was crazy fun. She also loved her music class, snack time and she mentioned that she made a friend. She can't remember her name though. :-) But - she sits at her table. :-) She told me that they laid on their rest time mats and listened to stories on CD, which was cool. She is excited that tomorrow she gets to do it all over again.
I believe Fridays are ART day, so you know that she will be in a special kind of Heaven.
Baby Boy did good today too. He kept asking when sissy was coming back, but we hung out at Ms. Julie's and then at Grandma's for the day with Aunt Jenn and Uncle Sean who are in town, so he managed to stay distracted and have fun. We will now be gearing up to celebrate both of the kids' birthdays with a few friends on Saturday. Aunt Jenn is making a Toy Story cake. I can't wait to share pics. It's going to be amazing!
Nighty-Night!

It just doesn't seem possible! It wasn't that long ago that I received a phone call that started out... "Ummm, first of all, it's a girl!..."
I was checking all yesterday to see how you both did. Praise the Lord that everything went well :) Tori was super excited to go to kindergarten too, no tears from either of us! It sure helps when they are excited and ready to take on the new adventure.
