First day of Preschool & Memories being made

Another big day in our little household. Baby Boy ventured off to Preschool for the first time. He was so excited!

Let me just break down the morning for you.

We got up and BB started dancing around my bedroom saying "I'm going to preschool. I'm going to preschool." He couldn't wait to get his Buzz Lightyear backpack on and it was simply. precious.

Then, we got out the door and got Big Sister off to school with her Birthday snacks in hand (they are doing summer bdays). We had 45 minutes to kill, so we headed to Starbucks with Daddy for a coffee and a donut.

BB started being crazy.

But also sweet.

Then, we loaded back in the van to head to class. We told him we wanted to take a few more pictures and take a quick potty break before going into his room. He was not happy. He wanted to go RIGHT AWAY, but suffered through anyway.

And one of his teachers.

He did so great with drop-off and my favorite part was picking him up and hearing "Mommy! Mommy! when I opened the van door. Then he yells, "Yahoo! That's my preschool!" Awesome.

It felt so weird to drive away and have 4 hours without my sweet sidekick. I knew he would have a great day, but I felt strangely "lacking something" while I aimlessly ran my errands and realized a new stage had occurred in our lives. It was weird I tell ya!

I did, however, enjoy meeting up with Julie at the mall and doing some shopping for the kids who got their pictures taken tonight by our friend Kelley.

Well, I shall wrap up this rather long post with two sweet memory makers that the kids said today.

First, LG and BB were having breakfast this morning and LG leans over and says, "Bubbers - look at me. I want to tell you something. When you are walking in the hallways at school, you need to stay in the line - in a straight line. Ok?", then she looks at me and says, "I know this stuff." Such a good big sister.

Second, David told BB that he wanted to pray with him real quick before he went into his school this morning and BB snuggled right into his daddy and rubbed his arm while he prayed (sigh..) then, after they were done, BB looked up and said in his sweet 2 year old voice, "thank you daddy for praying for me." I wanted to just bawl right then and there. Done.

In true "US" fashion, we have another big day tomorrow - BB turns 3!! More cake, More presents. More fun. OH, and Blue pancakes for breakfast. That's my boy's favorite color.

Have a great night!!
