Pizza Date & a Haircut

Doesn't the title just reel you in? I mean - it's like I took a night off and gathered up a couple of really fun topics to entice you or something. :-)

Well, I got really tired last night and decided to watch a few shows BEFORE I blogged and since I fell asleep on the couch while doing this, I don't think the plan quite worked out. But, I did wake up to drooling on myself with a child yelling on the t.v. on Modern Family and scaring me half to death. Good times.

So, I am back. I am finally having dinner because the afternoon and evening didn't go as planned, so as I type I have a piece of my favorite whole wheat sunflower toast from a local bakery topped with scrambled eggs and cheese. Yes. It's the dinner of champions. It's only 9:30, so I am sure these calories aren't too bad -right?

Little Girl had a pizza party at school and got to wear her cute little pajamas today also. She loves this. I forgot to snap a picture of her, but please be assured - she looked adorable!

Well, she offered to bring Brother home a piece of her pizza, but I suggested the teachers may not like that, and her and Baby Boy thought the best idea then was for him and I to go out for pizza.

So we did.


Here he is giving me his "side eyes". This is the look I give the kids when I am half getting on to them and half teasing them. BB has picked it up and I giggle every time he does it.



We tried a new place and BB was happy, but unfortunately my pizza was ice cold and I didn't have the energy or care to tell anyone about it. I know. I was being lazy. I still had fun with my little man though and he was happy as a clam about his "pizza party with mommy".

Then we came home and I passed him and his sister off to Grandma so I could have my hair salon girl do some magic on my "do". And trust me - it needed magic. It's been lacking way more than luster for some time now.

And, here's the real kicker - I actually love it. I never say this about my hair right after I get it done. And, guess what else? She nailed the color too. I went darker and she gave me a piece-y kind of bob thing-y and then parted my bangs the opposite way. Something fun and different. I feel younger already. Here's a few shots I snapped for Julie today because she was wanting to see. What do you think?




I also got to go to T.J. Maxx for a little bit today without the little ones and I found a few fun toys for my desk. An orange lamp with a burlap shade, a birdie picture frame and a couple of other treasures. I will share them with you this week. By the way - I love them too.

Apparently the stars are aligning for hair and decorating today. Score!!
