I made the Cheddar, Apple & Cranberry Turkey Meatballs tonight for dinner. I cooked them 3 hours on HIGH and then one hour on LOW in the crock. They were the best batch I've ever made. These are some of my favorites for dinner. I served them with some Baked Brown Rice and a fun little asparagus side with lemon rind, parmesan cheese and olive oil.
I just had to have seconds because it was such a comforting and tasty meal that I didn't want to stop the experience at just one plate. My hubby likes a sauce with most foods and I didn't have anything saucy, so I just found a package of random "roasted chicken gravy" and whipped that up to throw on top of the rice and meatballs. Ummmmm....Yeah. It was pretty loverly. It was just one of those meals that makes your tummy and tastebuds happy.
Here are the recipes for the asparagus and rice over at The Recipe Box.
Today was a day of a Starbucks run where I got a coffee and BB got a little mini doughnut. Little Girl had school and she told me who her new very best friend is now. It changes every 5 minutes. She loves everyone! Today was day 5 at the gym. Can I get a whoop! whoop!? Next week I am going to add the weights back in. I looked at myself in the mirror in my workout tanks and realized that I have some major flab-u-lation in the arm department that I would like to get rid of. Before June please. Thank you.
Tomorrow is going to be 72 degrees and we plan to work in the yard most of the day. We have a huge Acorn tree out back that covers our yard full of.......well, acorns. We have to power rake them all up and then get down the old seed and fertilizer to make it look purty again.
Enjoy your weekend. We have lifegroup at our house this Sunday and this is always a treat to see these friends.
Nighty-night.
