Our first (almost) week home here in Indiana has been good.
I'm extremely tired no doubt,
but, it's been good.
I am in love with the fact that I have 2 children - that I have Kids - ya know - Plural. Very cool.
Baby Boy is a sweetie-pie and Little girl couldn't be happier to have this newest member of our family.
We had our first trip to church this morning and things went well. Getting out the door with 2 instead of 1 was definitely an eye-opener. It is a LOT more work and a LOT more thinking that has to go into getting yourself into the car and to our destination at the church. Wow.
I have been so tired due to the fact that Baby Boy (let's call him BB) keeps me and the hubby up quite a bit at night and therefore I have not been able to pull all my thoughts together into coherent sentences in the past few days. I have so many things I want to share - including details about the adoption process itself, but it shall have to wait for now.
Our house is moving along quite nicely and we are getting really close to our closing date of October 15th. The carpet is in, the vanities, kitchen cabinets, the granite countertops, the tile, the back patio, the driveway, the light fixtures, the painting - all in and done as of Friday. The house looks awesome and we cannot wait to move in!!! I will post pictures soon.
Well - onto the kiddos. BB has his bless-ed circumcision tomorrow and Little Girl (can we call her LG?) is tagging along for the ride with me at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow morning. My understanding is that they will whisk him in to do the "deed" and whisk him back out to me fairly quickly. I hope BB is o.k. after the procedure and ready to take on our second baby shower that is tomorrow night being thrown by my pastor's wife and my buddy Bekah. We are totally looking forward to this!
Oh - and my shower in Missouri rocked and I will post pictures of that soon as well! Lots of pics to post girls. Lots of pictures.
My little guy is already changing so much. He had gained 2 lbs. and grown 2 inches by his doctors' appt. on Friday (only 3 weeks old) - how crazy is that??? He loves to eat.
It is late. I know you will all be getting on to me for being up and doing this instead of sleeping, so I shall sign off. One more feeding and then I will hopefully get a good 3 hours of shut-eye! I'm hoping it works out this way. :-)

Oh. My. Goodness... This is family how God intended! Joyful - Blissfully happy to be a mommy. Proud to be a Dad ( I can see it all over HIM) And Even PROUDER to be BIG SIS! And, umm - ya look like you guys were put together straight out of a catalog - Love that you and BB BOTH have on green stripes - love it! Blessings in the form of rest for you! :0)
I love the pictures.
Love the pictures! Baby Boy is growing so fast it's hard to believe. I'm so so so happy that Little Girl loves him. Great job on keeping up with the blog. My 2 kids sleep regularly and I can't keep mine updated! You're Wonder Woman!
Have to mention here that it appears that you have the "Matchy-Matchy Disease" that Rhea & I both have. Love it!
so glad you are so happy!
Thanks for the pictures! I'm so glad everything is going well and that your house is so close to being done! I'm sure you will appreciate all the space so much more after living in like 200 square feet. :-) There is much empathy going your way over getting out of the house with two kids. It takes like 3 hours, huh? Oh, and then it's time for BB to eat AGAIN....and then he needs his diaper changed again....and how in the world do you take a shower and get ready with two kids? Is there room for that bouncy seat in your little bathroom? More reason to be excited about the new house, huh? You could probably fit the whole pack n play in there, right? And how about all the stuff you have to pack in your diaper bag for 2 kids? I actually packed an emergency bag and just kept it in my car when I had Riley because I was sure I would forget something. Ok, you probably can't stay awake long enough to read this, so TTYL!
Rheagan - that's it! You're officially one of my favorite commenters!!! Thanks for visiting my blog and showing some love to me and my kids! Kylee is lucky to have a great aunt like you!
He is just adorable!!!
My friend, Alana, over at Kiss, hug, & squeeze, sent me to your blog. My husband and I have just been placed on the adoption waiting list through Lutheran Family Services. It is so good to hear a story of not one but two great adoption stories coming true! It makes the wait seem less daunting. Congrats to you!
