Clean Out Bonanza

We bought the hubby some new clothes this weekend, which was long overdue. The conversation that might have gotten us going was, "hey - is that a hole in your dress pants?" Yeah. He needed some new digs.

So we loaded up both kiddos and headed to the mall on a Sunday afternoon - like any sane, crazy person and we headed to Dillard's. We found him some jeans, some dress slacks, a sports coat and some casual shirts that were going to work out perfectly. Score.

After our shopping, he looked at our closet and said, "we don't wear half this stuff and I want to see what we really have clothes-wise. Let's start tossin'". And we did.

6 Trash Bags later - shirts, shoes, belts, pants and anything else we had no use for that was in our closet. It all went to Mr. Goodwill today and I couldn't be happier.

Look - I see floor!!

I decided to keep cleaning and went all crazy. I started scrubbing the shower (which I am not fond of), mopping floors, vacuuming, throwing out crud-ola from underneath the sink, and I feel all cleansed. :-)

I even sold something today on craigslist/facebook. It was big and in my way and I am happy to see it gone. I'm ready to head to the attics next and purge, purge, purge!!

Can you tell I have Spring Fever?

This rain is annoying me and trying to hurt my mojo, but I press on.

I am fighting the urge to cook all comfort foods this week with this weather, but I am trying to be healthy and balanced, so I will refrain.

Here's what I've come up with for the weekly menu:

Crockpot Chicken Stroganoff
Carli's homemade spaghetti sauce (lasagna or baked ziti)
Chili
BBQ Feta and hot banana pepper turkey burgers
Weight Watchers Taco Salad

I am getting ready to make my grocery list for the night and prep for my jaunt to the stores in the morning. I am praying for NO RAIN so that Baby Boy and I can attempt at staying dry. I'm so done with all this rain.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I forgot to tell you all where you can find my Kara's Cakes here in town. Wanna know? Head over to Metropolitan Grill and order some. I still need to make it over there myself, but I am dying to go and try these things!! Please, please tell me if you beat me to it. This is so fun!!

Have a great night!
