I am so excited to get a sign made for my hallway that has our family rules on it. I was so inspired when I saw all those hand-made signs from Barn Owl Primitives that I have already started working on what I might want ours to say.
Here's what I have so far.
Use kind words
Ignore Mean Ones
Try New Things
Use your Imagination
Don't Whine
Always Tell The Truth
Love God with all your heart
Show Compassion to Others
Always be home for Big Breakfast
Laugh Often
Be Silly
Eat your Veggies
Pray Earnestly
Say please and Thank you
Be Dependable
Put Others First
Have fun while you work
Too Much T.V. is Bad
Too Much Reading is Good
Know you are loved like Crazy
I will have to save up for this new little bit of decor, but I think the impact of it will be totally worth it. I love the power of words and how they can breathe life if you use them for good. I want to surround my family with words of affirmation and strength and faith and growth.

I've seen these signs, so cool! In fact I have a friend from Bunco that just showed me one she made herself, except it has cities & mileage on it, it was the exact same thing, she told me how to make it! She said it was really easy & fun. Love your house rules :)
"Love each other" is a great one that covers a lot of bases. And maybe "Flush the toilet", but maybe that's just my house.
Ha! I love Jamie's "Flush the toilet" rule that would have to be one in our house too :) I think you have quite a good set so far, it definitely covers all of ours!
