Girl's Night, Pom-Pom Necklaces & Skating parties

Friday Night we had "girl's night" here at my house with my life group girls from church. It started out with pizza, an amazing salad, cookies and, of course, COFFEE!

I am usually a straight half-n-half creamer girl with my Starbucks brew, but I discovered this little gem this past week that has made for a nice little change of pace.

Vanilla Caramel Breve Creme! Awesome-ness!!

I also spent my whole afternoon trying out a new recipe - Pretzel Pizza Bites. They were SO much work, but SO yummy. I will post a recipe over at The Recipe Box tomorrow.

We laughed our heads off and had easy conversation until around 10:30 that night when all of our yawns were becoming one big signal that we were old and needed to go to bed.

We also made some fun crafts which I will talk about this week. Here's a sneak peak of some things we made.

We all were wielding hot glue guns like professionals, but I spent 90% of the time cutting out circles and trying to copy off the girls who looked like their crafts were taking shape more quickly than mine. :-)

So fun!! I am ready to plan our next one already!

Tonight we went to my best buddy Julie's son's birthday party.

It was at a Skating Rink.

I haven't been to one since like 6th grade. It smelled and looked the same as I remember. My legs didn't quite move the same though.

At one point, I tried to lace fingers with David and asked him for a "couple skate", but he told me to move on because I was being weird. :-)

The kids had a blast. Little Girl fell about 600 times, but Baby Boy was beyond hilarious. He kept saying the strobe lights all over the room were "So Beautiful!!!" and he was rocking and dancing and even jumping around to the beat. In his skates. It was insane!

It was a total throwback in time. At one point, Julie, myself and another mommy did a little race around the rink. I won't lie - I won. I still got it.

This weekend has been fun and tomorrow we have church and then Life group tomorrow evening. We are having breakfast night with Baked French Toast and all sorts of other morning type treats.

Enjoy your Saturday!!
